QUALIFICATIONS
I have been translating French into English in both France and the United States for over ten years and I still love what I do.
During that time, I also spent a few years working as a translation project manager at two different agencies in New York City.
My background also includes an MA in English Language Education, living and working in Paris, France for seven years and teaching English and American culture at two French engineering schools.
CONTENT AREAS
Many of my clients deal with industry-specific vocabulary and require an understanding of niche content areas. I am skilled in translating for many different fields, but if I don’t think I am qualified for your project, I will tell you upfront and even try to recommend someone else who would be perfect for your needs.
The main fields of content I translate and localize are (but are not limited to):
1. Consulting and Market Research: surveys and questionnaires, focus groups, open-end responses
2. Advertising: advertising copy, marketing materials, press kits, conference and trade show materials
3. Websites and Video Games: HTML and XML documents
4. Legal: contracts, certificates, court proceedings
5. Financial and Corporate: internal and external communications, annual reports, company overviews
6. Information Technology: hardware and software descriptions and content
